Shoe Design
For my shoe design I created a digital contour line drawing of a shoe. For this project, I used art elements to create this drawing. I used my white vans for this project. Art elements included in this project are lines and color. I used the pen tool to produce two-dimensional lines on the shoe and I also used the paint bucket to add varieties of color, like pink and yellow. The intensity of the shoe consists of high and low intensities because there are dull colors but also strong and bright colors. The most successful part of this artwork are the different shades of color on the shoe.
Shoe Repetition
To create repetition, I used my shoe design and copy and pasted it in several different ways. For example, I changed the opacity, size, and color of the shoe and placed them in a way that it would look appealing to a viewer. An art element included in this project is space. I took up most of the negative space on adobe illustrator by placing several shoes on top of and next to each other of different shoe sizes. Also, in the center I placed two big shoes to take up space. The most successful part of this artwork was the specific way that I created the repetition of shoes.
House
For this project, I created a digital contour line vector graphic of my house. I took my own picture of my house and traced it using the pen tool. The art elements I used were line, shape, and color to create this particular drawing. I included organic and geometric shapes, like squares, rectangles, and circles. In addition, I used realistic colors that matched my house. In front of my house, I added several bushes as a simple landscape that would be appealing to anyone that views this specific piece. The most successful part of this project was the texture that I added to the roof.
Fairey Inspired Portrait
I created an art piece in the style of Shepard Fairey. For this specific art piece, I used my twin brother as an inspiration. I traced a picture that I had taken of Quinn using the pen tool. I was only able to use 5 colors. In this case, I used the colors white, orange, red, grey, and brown. The picture I used is of Quinn thinking, so that is why I thought knowledge would be the perfect word choice for this portrait. In addition, orange and red express knowledge. The art elements used in this are line, shape, and color. I used each of these art elements to compose the structure of the portrait. The most successful part of this artwork was the radial background.
Awards Ceremony Poster Design
For this specific poster design, I created it for the purpose that I wanted to catch the crowd’s attention. Specifically, people who are attending Methacton's Award Ceremony. In this poster design, I added the information like the time, date, and location of the awards ceremony. To catch the viewer’s attention I used a color scheme that would compliment the design. For example, I used appealing colors like green and white. In addition, I used a very formal font. An art element I used is shape, because I used the shape tool in adobe illustrator to create clusters of two-dimensional stars. The most successful part of this poster design was the color scheme and the stars in the corners of my poster design.
